NUR NOCH EINER - ein Leben nach der Deutsch Amerikanischen Freundschaft (WT)
A film by Oliver Schwabe
A field recordings film production
The film tells the story of Robert Görl — musician, composer, producer and performer — and his visionary collaboration with Gabi Delgado. As a duo under the name Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF), the two revolutionized punk: Görl on drums, on machines and as the musical driving force, Delgado as poet, singer and charismatic performer. In March 2020, Gabi Delgado died unexpectedly of a heart attack at the age of 61. Robert Görl is left behind — the last of DAF. From this loss emerged the farewell album “Only One Left”, created with Sylvie Marks at Görl’s side. The album is a goodbye, a tribute and at the same time proof that DAF’s musical vision continues to resonate to this day.
The film shows DAF from the perspective of Robert Görl, the band’s sound architect, whose role was long underestimated, even though it was he who, as composer, percussionist and performer, first made Delgado dance.
NUR NOCH EINER - Ein Leben nach der Deutsch Amerikanischen Freundschaft (WT) is not only a look back at a band that made punk look bourgeois and paved the way for techno, but also a personal story about loss, friendship and art — as a dance to music that is cool, different, visionary, unsettling, revolutionary, utopian and sexy.

Ab Morgen Bin Ich Mutig
(Tomorrow I'll be brave)
Feature film by Bernd Sahling
If twelve-year-old Karl could have chosen who he would fall in love with, it probably wouldn't have been his classmate Lea. Lea is the tallest girl in the class, a head taller than Karl. But even so, it takes great courage for Karl to find out whether Lea likes him. Karl's older brother Tom advises him to do something with Lea. Karl invites the girl into his improvised bathroom laboratory. Taking photographs and developing pictures has been Karl's favorite pastime for years. Lea is impressed by Karl's “light magic” in the lab. But Karl still doesn't know whether she reciprocates his feelings. Time is running out. Sixth grade is almost over. After the summer vacation, Karl and Lea will go to separate schools. The only thing left for Karl to do is go on a project trip together to become Lea's boyfriend.
